Jim Stapley is a fairly-recent transplant to the US. In England he was well-established and fronted bands that allowed him to play with rock idols such as Ronnie Wood (Rolling Stones) and Kenney Jones (Faces, Small Faces, The Who). Jim’s last album, Long Time Coming, was produced by legendary producer, Tony Visconti (Bowie, Morrisey).
After two record deals, Jim decided to forego labels in favor of a more grassroots “get out and play” approach, which is what he’s doing here. He moved to the states, specifically Minneapolis, to be part of this amazing music scene. From the band’s lineup to the recording of its EP’s, Stapes is an all-local project from a man with decades of experience abroad.
Jim will be performing in the taproom April 24th, at 6:30 PM. Free admission. 🎸🎤
